Mfikeyi Makayi

Mfikeyi is passionate about the development and industrialization of the African continent. She is CEO of KoBold Metals Africa, a leading exploration firm that deploys artificial intelligence to explore for energy-transition minerals. She has 19 years of domain expertise in the mineral resources sector — covering exploration, mine development, operations and services. She has run businesses of different sizes, from a US$80 million revenue-per-annum mine equipment services business to a two-decade-old, second-generation family SME in the hospitality sector. She also holds business interests in the agricultural sector in her home country of Zambia.

Beyond enterprise, Mfikeyi deeply cares about giving her time and resources to philanthropic causes that transform not only livelihoods but also the mindset of fellow Africans towards self-determination.
